Mid-Nebraska Individual Services, Inc. is a private not for profit community based program for adults with developmental disabilities. MNIS's mission is to promote optimal independence in the areas of personal growth, community living, and employment. Services are provided in fully staffed small group homes, in a person's individual home, on the job, or in the adult developmental center workshop. MNIS of Broken Bow is part of a corporation that provides services in 22 counties in south central Nebraska. Besides the Broken Bow location, MNIS has programs in Kearney, Grand Island, Hastings, Superior, Oxford, and Ord. MNIS has been in business since October of 1970 and services over 360 people.
